NEW DELHI: Star Indian cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni has perhaps his destiny filled with innumerable surprises and blessings. The ex-captain stunned his fans after news of him being appointed as head of a major oil firm hit the internet…but that doesn’t end here.
Dhoni was appointed as the CEO of Gulf Oil India, but only for a day.
Mahi, who will soon be seen in action in IPL 2017 with his franchise Rising Pune Supergiant, has been automobile lubricant giant’s brand ambassador since 2011.
The company tweeted a picture of the former India skipper in the CEO’s chair dressed in a blue suit and grey tie at Gulf Oil India’s Mumbai head office.
The move was kept a surprise and left even the employees of the company stunned. As the CEO, Dhoni attended all the special meetings of the company throughout the day to get a feel of corporate life.
Dhoni’s commercial interests manager Arun Pandey revealed that the firm and star wicketkeeper-batsman had been planning the day for a long time.
“As a CEO of the company for the day, Mahi has attended all the special meetings of the company. He will also take quite a few decisions, just like a real CEO,” Pandey told a TV channel on Monday.
