ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan has decided to provide asset details of Dr. Tahirul Qadri and his party Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) to the Federal Investigation Agency, ARY News reported Friday.
According to the ECP, Dr. Qadri had declared assets of Rs9.9 million in 2004 while amount for his home and plot was measured at Rs 85,000. The PAT chief had shown bank account balance of Rs 33,000.
In 2010, Dr. Qadri had declared his party assets worth Rs 3,38,000 while he had no foreign assets at that time.
Sources told that FIA had sought all details of Dr. Qadri’s assets. In a letter, FIA has asked the ECP regarding PAT’s manifesto and other related information. The ECP is of the view all the details of PAT had already been published in its annual statement.
