Efforts being made to curb criminal activities, says Qaim

Meeting with traders at Federation House, CM Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah said that police and rangers have been powers and there is no interference being done in the crackdown. He also said that all efforts are being to curb ransom, target killing and extortion incidents in Karachi.

“Pakistan Army is a big institution and is playing the role of a safeguard. Such large scale operation are going across the world”, Qaim added.

Further speaking on the targeted operations in Karachi, CM Sindh added that that Rangers is showing better performance in Karachi. He claimed that Police does not as much ammunition as criminals do and the criminals are trained as well.

Qaim Ali Shah, while speaking on the issue of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs), said that the affectees of the Zarb-e-Azb military offensive against militants in North Waziristan are being allowed to enter Sindh after strict monitoring.

On the Karachi Airport Attack, CM Sindh stated that Sindh Police saved the Jinnah Terminal from a major terror attack by taking a timely action.

“The federal government cooperated on many projects but issued less funds”, Qaim added.
