Elderly woman shot dead by Indian forces

LAHORE: The Indian Border Security Force on Saturday handed over the body of a Pakistani elderly woman shot dead while mistakenly trying to cross the Working Boundary.

Rashida Bibi was a resident of Palkian sector of Sialkot near the Working Boundary and was also suffering from a mental disorder. On Friday evening, she mistakenly walked towards the border and was shot dead by the BSF.

Police officials confirmed that her body was handed over to the Pakistan Rangers on Saturday.

Earlier this month Indian forces opened unprovoked firing along the Line of Control in Kanjar sector martyring three Pakistan soldiers.
