Emir of Qatar seeks enhanced security cooperation with Pakistan

RAWALPINDI: Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani on Wednesday expressed his desire for enhanced defence and security cooperation between Pakistan and its armed forces.

According to Inter Services Public Relations, Emir of Qatar was talking to Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa  who is on an official visit to the country.

Emir of Qatar said the visit by General Bajwa strengthens the bondage between two brotherly countries and the armed forces.

He reiterated that Pakistan and Qatar share strong strategic relationship. They also discussed matters related to regional security and defence cooperation.

He acknowledged Pakistan’s role in development and strengthening of Qatar and its armed forces.

Emir of Qatar acknowledged Pakistan’s role towards regional peace and stability. He commended success of Pakistan Army in its campaign against terrorism and militancy.

General Bajwa thanked Emir of Qatar for his hospitality and said that Pakistan Army  looks forward for enhanced defence and security cooperation with Qatar.
