KARACHI: Police on Wednesday booked Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf MNA Alamgir Khan and others in a case of throwing sewerage water on Chief Minister House’s gate, ARY News reported.

The case, 19/2019, was registered by the Civil Lines Police Station against #FixIt founder Alamgir Khan and volunteers Saifullah, Sadaqat Ahmed and others.

On Monday, Khan along with #FixIt volunteers held a unique protest demonstration against the non-resolution of Karachi’s civic problems.

Khan and his team collected sewerage water in buckets threw it on the gate of the Chief Minister House as a show of anger on lack of sewerage water removal from several areas of the city.

Consequently, the police booked Khan and his team members on Wednesday. #FixIt volunteer Saifullah was arrested from Malir and produced in a local court.

He was granted a bail whereas Ahmed was granted a pre-arrest bail.

Khan in his tweet said that he would protest against the move because their Monday act was not intended to disrespect anyone, rather it was just a protest move.

He wrote: “if sewerage dirty water is flowing outside our homes then CM House should also face the same pain and realise responsibility. Our intention was not to disrespect/target any personality, it was a sy(m)bolic way to bring this overlooked issue of AamAadmi into mainstream
