RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff Qamar Javed Bajwa in his message extended good wishes for matrimonial life of Maj Hercharn Singh, first Sikh officer of Pakistan Army, on getting married, ARY News reported.
The Army officer tied the knot on Sunday at Gurdwara Punja Sahib, Hasan Abdal. A number of serving and retired officers of Pakistan Army including former Army chief Ashfaq Parvez Kayani also attended the marriage ceremony, said media wing of Armed forces, Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), in a press release.

Maj Harchar Singh was commissioned in Pakistan Army in 2007.
Pak Army remains a symbol of national integration and respects rights of religious minorities in Pakistan, said the release.
