ISLAMABAD: Information Minister Fawad Chaudhary on Saturday said the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government was creating an enabling environment for the expatriate Pakistanis to make investment in the country.

“We are giving special importance to the overseas Pakistanis in our policies,” he said while addressing the Pakistani community in London.

He said the PTI assumed the office in difficult economic situation but now the immediate balance of payment crisis had been overcome.

“Foreign exchange reserves and exports are increasing as a result of prudent policies,” he said.

Fawad Chaudhary said the PTI in its first 100 days in government faced no corruption scandal.

Earlier today while on a visit to British Film of Institute (BFI) in London, the minister said the government was concerned about the financial crisis of the media industry and the woes of Pakistani media workers.

He also discussed cooperation with officials of BFI to create a fund for film, certification and training.
