Earlier in the day, Dr Adnan, personal physician Nawaz Sharif, said that PML-N leader had never denied from undergoing an angiography.

Holding government responsible for the delay in angiography of the deposed prime minister, Dr Adnan said “the government will be responsible if anything happens to Sharif”, and added that he is ready to undergo an angiography.

He said, there is a need for intensive-care treatment of Nawaz as condition of blood supply to one part of the patient’s heart was not good.

On Jan 22, Sharif was brought to the Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC) from Kot Lakhpat jail for a medical examination amid tight security.

An accountability court judge Muhammad Arshad Malik had sentenced Sharif to seven years in prison on Dec 24 in the Al Azizia case.
