ISLAMABAD: The schedule for the upcoming visits of the Prime Minister Imran Khan to Saudi Arabia and Iran has been prepared where he will hold important meetings with the Saudi crown prince and Iranian President, ARY News reported on Saturday.

PM Khan will depart to Saudi Arabia on October 15 (Tuesday) to pay one-day official visit where he will meet Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. Later, the premier will visit Iran on Monday after gaining the confidence of Saudi leadership.

The date of the federal cabinet session was also changed following the foreign visits of the premier as it will be held on October 14 (Monday).

The premier’s visit to Iran is said to be very crucial after he had offered to act as mediator to defuse tensions in the Middle East over the request of the US President Donald Trump and the Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman during his visit to the United States (US) for attending the session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).

It is pertinent to mention here that the Saudi Arabian government had also invited Indian prime minister Narendra Modi in the upcoming event.
