Karachi resident in New Zealand also missing after Christchurch mosques’ attack

KARACHI: A Pakistani resident, hailing from Karachi, is also missing after the deadly attack on two mosques in New Zealand on Friday, ARY News reported.
The person has been identified as Areeb, resident of Karachi’s Federal B. Area.
Speaking to ARY News, his father said they couldn’t trace the details of Areeb. “I request the high commission to give us details. They don’t have any information.”

“Is he being treated and is he alright”,” he asked the officials, adding it has been 14 hours but no details have been given.
“I contacted the official, Moazzam, in Auckland. He said he would head to the city on Saturday and would give further details.
My son is accountant in Christchurch, his father said.
At least five Pakistanis were missing after the attacks on mosques in New Zealand, said Pakistan’s deputy high commissioner in Wellington.
The deputy high commissioner said that they were making all-out efforts to find the missing Pakistanis and added that the Christchurch police and hospitals’ management were unable to give any details.
He said that the officials of the high commission were visiting different hospitals and police stations to find out the missing Pakistanis. The deputy high commissioner said that the government had shut all the mosques in New Zealand after the Christchurch attacks.
