Karachi police recover abducted child, arrest kidnapper

KARACHI: Police on Friday recovered an 11-year-old boy from Cantt station, who was abducted from his hometown last month and recover a kidnapper.     

Speaking at a press conference, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Pir Mohammad Shah said that a  police party on a tipoff conducted raid at the Karachi cantonment railway station and recovered the child, who was kidnapped from Korangi last month.

He said that the 11-year-old child, Sheraz, was kidnapped from Zia Colony area of Korangi on October 23 and added that the suspect was identified as Raja Muj.

The kidnapper compelled the child for drug peddling, said the police officer.

It is pertinent to mention here that a six-year-old child who was allegedly abducted from Bilal Colony had been found safe in Liaquatabad area of Karachi on September 26.

The child named Huzaifa was allegedly kidnapped by armed riders from outside his house in Bilal Colony area earlier in the day. The minor’s parents had told police that he was playing outside his residence after coming back from school when he was abducted in front of his playmates.
