LAHORE: Another petition was filed in Lahore High Court (LHC) for the formation of a judicial commission to probe the infamous Counter Terrorism Department encounter in Sahiwal that killed four people last month, ARY News reported on Thursday.

In his plea, Ehtisham, the brother of alleged terrorist Zeeshan pleaded to the court to form a judicial commission that can probe into the shady encounter.

“My innocent brother was killed after being labeled as a terrorist,” the plea reads. “We don’t want any compensation. The culprits involved in the shootout should be given an exemplary punishment.”

Last week, the brother of deceased Khalil, Jalil, had also filed a petition in the LHC to form a judicial commission for probing into the aforementioned case.

Jalil reiterated their dissatisfaction with the joint investigation team’s ongoing probe. He also threatened to take to the streets if his demand was not met.

Four people, including two women, were killed in a shady encounter involving the Punjab CTD in the Qadirabad area of Sahiwal district on Jan 19.

The Sahiwal incident had sent shock waves across the country after one of the surviving children who witnessed the episode refuted the CTD’s version of events.
