The incident occurred within the remits of Pishtakhara police station. The rape victim filed a first information report (FIR) at the police station and told cops that he had hired a taxi from Karkhano market.
The victim was a resident of Karkhano Market.

According to reports, the driver was on way with the passenger when he suddenly stopped the vehicle near a CNG station on Ring Road. The driver dragged the man out of the car and took him to an empty plot where he raped him.
The police registered the case immediately and raided the house of the suspect. He was identified as Menhaj, 40, a resident of Landi Akhun Ahmad.
Reports citing police said the accused had been caught in a raid conducted by the Pishtakhara police soon after registering the FIR. The guilty man has also reportedly confessed to the crime during initial interrogation.
The case was registered under Section 377 of the PPC while further investigation is underway.
