Maryam Nawaz lashes out at government over ‘anti-poor’ budget
ZAFARWAL: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Maryam Nawaz Sharif on Monday said that the PTI government has punished poor people of the country by presenting an anti-poor budget, ARY News reported.
Addressing a rally in Zafarwal tehsil of Punjab’s Narowal district, the PML-N leader heavily criticised Prime Minister Imran Khan by saying that he has no idea about how poor people of the country are hit by his government’s economic policies.
Maryam Nawaz said that her party Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz had won the last election convincingly before being burgled.
“What was once a country climbing the ladder of progress is now on a downwards spiral,” said Maryam Nawaz.
Speaking about the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and it’s corruption probe, Maryam said: “NAB only sees Shehbaz Sharif, Hamza Shehbaz and Saad Rafique. Why is NAB unable to see the corrupt within the ranks of the PTI-led government?” asked Maryam.
“N in PML-N stands for Na-Ehli”
Reacting to the speech made by the PML-N stalwart Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Firdous Ashiq Awan said: “Maryam’s speech is equivalent to stubbornness after corruption and looting, lying to the people in public gathering is a trait of PML-N leaders.”
“PML-N lies as a policy, they try to bury the truth with their lies,” added Awan.
Touching about the Supreme Court’s verdict on the ‘Panama Papers Corruption Case’ verdict, Awan said that the court have ruled them as compulsive liars.
Awan was then inquired about technical difficulties during the post budget national address by the Prime Minister of Pakistan to which she answered: “The technical glitch was due to inclement weather and thus the transmission was effected.”
Taking a parting jibe at PML-N Awan said that the ‘N’ in PML-N signifies Na-Ehli (incompetence)
