NAB summons former I.G. Sindh Ghulam Hyder Jamali and 70 other police officials

According to details, NAB has started to speed up investigation regarding the purchase of goods for Sindh police amounting to Rs. 1.4 billion. NAB had written a letter a couple of days ago to Sindh police in order to initiate an inquiry into the role of several senior police officials including Ghulam Hyder Jamali.

Nab wants to investigate seventy police officials for this case. Ghulam Hyder Jamali has been charged with money laundering, financial embezzlement, using his position to exert undue influence and using the law for his own advantage. The former I.G. Sindh and other officers have been ordered to appear before the court from March 21-25.

Among those who have been summoned include D.I.G. Headquarters Abdul Aleem Jaffrey, Syed Feroze Shah Zone West, D.I.G. CTD Muhammad Arif Hanif , D.I.G. West Ameen-ur-Rehman, A.I.G. Establishment Saqib Ismail Memon, Captain (r) Ghulam Azfar, SSP Investigation Naveed Ahmad Nisar, SSP Muhammad Farooq and SP Kamran Rasheed.

In the letter that has been written to the new I.G. Sindh, it has been stated clearly that everyone was involved in the corruption of almost Rs 1.5 billion from the former I.G.Sindh to those who had been appointed as the store in-charge.
