KARACHI: Father of Nishwa, a nine-month-old baby girl, who died after being administered wrong injection at Karachi’s private hospital, Darul Sehat, on Sunday ended the protest after the government assured him of constitution of commission for cases of negligence in hospitals, ARY News reported.

Qaiser Ali had staged a sit-in protest against failure of the government to meet his all demands, including sealing of the hospital, arrest of the owners and those responsible and formation of judicial inquiry to probe the matter.

The victim’s father said CM’s Advisor on Information Murtaza Wahab told him that a judicial commission under a judge of the Supreme Court would be formed which would see all the cases of negligence in hospitals. He said name of the judge would be announced on Monday.

Qaiser Ali said if the culprits were not arrested, he would seek resignation of the IG Sindh.
