LODHRAN: Punjab Minister for Housing Mian Mahmoodur Rasheed on Tuesday claimed that provision of housing to low-income people was the top priority of the current government.

Mahmoodur Rasheed stated this during visit to the land allocated for ‘Apna Ghar Housing Scheme’ along with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) senior leader Jahangir Khan Tareen in Lodhran.

Mahmoodur Rasheed said that under the ‘Naya Pakistan Housing Programme’, 800 plots in two categories ( 3 Marla and 5 Marla) will be provided to the poor in Lodhran. The minister said that they would constitute Pakistan Housing Authority to monitor the overall housing projects across the country.

On the occasion, PTI senior leader Jahangir Khan Tareen said that the housing scheme was a gift of Prime Minister Imran Khan for the people of Lodhran. He said they were working on South Punjab province and will launch South Punjab secretariat in next fiscal year in Multan.

It is pertinent to mention here that for all those Pakistanis dreaming of a residence of their own but can not afford one, here is your chance for low-priced home under Premier Imran Khan’s newly-launched Naya Pakistan Housing Programme, as the registration process for the scheme had begun on October 22.

The National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) had opened the registration to citizens under the first phase of the Naya Pakistan Housing Programme (NPHP).
