Rao Anwar reinstated after two months suspension

KARACHI: SSP Malir Rao Anwar, who was few months back suspended by chief minister Sindh, has been reinstated on Saturday, ARY News reported.

Famous encounter specialist was on 16, Sept 2016 suspended after he raided Opposition Leader in Sindh Assembly Khawaja Izhar’s residence without calling for prior permission from the speaker of the provincial assembly.

Izhar was immediately released on order of Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah.

Sources said the decision to reinstate Rao Anwar was taken several days back, however due to some reasons the decision could not be implemented. Now, it has been formally announced through a government notification.

Sources said the decision to restore Anwar has been taken, however his posting has not been finalised. It is not yet confirmed whether he would be sent back to Malir or some other place.
