Saudi investment to help eliminate poverty in country: CM Buzdar

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar on Saturday said that the wide-ranging Saudi investment will help eliminate poverty in the country.

According to a statement released from his office, CM Usman Buzdar said that the bilateral ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia will further improve due to the forth coming visit of the Saudi crown prince to Pakistan.

He said, ‘we welcome Saudi Prince Mohammed Bin Salman and other Saudi brothers in Pakistan. The government and the people of Punjab like the whole of Pakistan cordially welcome the prince.’

The chief minister said that the visit of the Saudi prince was a matter of extreme happiness and gratitude for the whole nation.

 He said investment in the country will increase due to bilateral agreements between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia in various fields. The chief minister said that the  visit of the Saudi prince will determine new avenues of development and progress in Pakistan.

CM Buzdar said Saudi Arabia has always helped Pakistan and other Islamic countries during difficult times.

Earlier, Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia Muhammad bin Salman will arrive in Pakistan on Feb 17, according to the Foreign Office.

In a statement, it said the Saudi crown prince will now be visiting Islamabad from Feb 17 to 18. However, the visit programme remains unchanged.

Earlier, the Saudi crown prince was scheduled to reach Islamabad on a two-day visit on Saturday evening (Feb 16).
