President Donald Trump expressed willingness to visit Pakistan: FM Qureshi

ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said that US President Donald Trump expressed his willingness to visit Pakistan.

In a statement, he said the US president considers Pakistan as an important country and he wants to promote bilateral relations between the two countries, Radio Pakistan reported on Thursday.

Shah Mehmood Qureshi warned that deterioration of situation in occupied Kashmir or a conflict in South Asia will leave negative impact on the regional economy.

Prime Minister Imran Khan has effectively and fiercely presented its stance on important matters, he said.

Earlier, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Tuesday had said that the United States (US) President Donald Trump has assured them of visiting Pakistan soon.

The foreign minister had said this while talking exclusively to the ARY NEWS after a Pakistani-delegation led by the Prime Minister Imran Khan met the US President Donald Trump at the sidelines of the Davos conference.

“We had a very fruitful meeting with the US president,” said the foreign minister adding that that the prime minister raised key issues with the US president during the meeting.
