Shehbaz concerned over Nawaz’s health
LAHORE: Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday voiced concern over medical facilities being provided to his elder brother Nawaz Sharif.
Speaking to reporters after inquiring about the former premier’s health at the Jinnah Hospital where he is being treated, Shehbaz said he was concerned over the elder Sharif’s health and treatment being provided to him.
He demanded that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) led provincial government implement the recommendations of a panel of medical experts constituted to assess the three-time prime minister’s health.
He said the elder Sharif’s treatment should not be delayed for any reason.
Commenting on India’s propaganda against Pakistan in the wake of the Pulwama attack, he said it was the neighbouring country that was involved in all this. “The Modi government is responsible for whatever is happening in held Kashmir.”
Earlier today, deposed prime minister Nawaz Sharif said he needed more medical care and treatment at the hospital.
“I need to have more check up by doctors, intensive care and different medical tests,” Nawaz Sharif said in a miscellaneous petition filed at the Islamabad High Court (IHC).
He said he was being discharged from the hospital to send back to jail, while he wanted more treatment at the hospital.
