KARACHI: Police here on Tuesday nabbed a citizen whose car had a plate reading Advocate Sindh High Court and a Pakistani flag hoisted on it, ARY News reported.

The driver in question was signalled to stop by the Police near the shrine of Abdullah Shah Ghazi in Clifton. But the driver sped up, and reportedly made offensive gestures to the cops as he evaded the scene.

The police, however, chased him down and stopped him near the Bin Qasim Park.

The driver told that he was neither an advocate nor was associated with the court in any capacity.

He confessed to have purchased the number plate from a shop so that the police would not stop him in case of traffic violations or undue checking.

“I purchased the number plate for Rs1200 from Plaza market, the police doesn’t stop me after seeing that the car belonged to an advocate” pleaded the driver.
