All entry points to Karachi airport closed, except one

KARACHI: The authorities have stepped up security at Karachi airport after recent terrorist attack, which claimed 38 lives including security officials, ARY News reported on Saturday.

According to the Civil Aviation Authority, five entry points of the airport will remain open only for the employees, who will enter in the airport after showing their identity cards.

These entry points, however will remain closed for the passengers due to security reasons. The passengers could only enter in Jinnah International Airport from Shara-e-Faisal.

Moreover, the scope of the investigations of the terrorist attack on Karachi airport being expanded.

The authorities have decided to initiate search operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) and Afghan tent settlements to look for the clues about the foreign terrorists who took part in the brazen attack at Pakistan’s major airport in Karachi.
