Facebook has revamped the Messenger camera and launched a brand new, faster and easier-to-use camera with art and special effects to improve our conversation experience.
The company said that messaging is becoming much more visual, as 2.5 billion emojis, photos, stickers and videos are sent every day on Messenger.
“In some ways the camera is now replacing the keyboard,” said the company. Therefore, it has built the new Messenger camera to make it faster, simpler and more fun to send photos and videos.
The new camera is quicker and easier to capture and share moments. Facebook has even hailed Messenger camera as a powerful new tool that lives just behind your inbox.
The camera is always just one tap away, whether you are in a conversation or have just opened the app. There is shutter button center in the screen – a tap takes photo, a long press records a video.
Facebook has also introduced new art and special effects, and has debuted 3D masks making it easier to apply an artistic filter to our full screen photo and to turn the world into a work of art.
Now we can take a selfie and transform into a reindeer, or play with falling snow or even just ask someone how they are doing and spread happiness in our messages.
Facebook has also introduced thousands of stickers, frames, masks and effects to choose from which can easily be personalized. It has worked with artists around the world, who have added their touch to the customization tools used in Messenger.
Facebook has added another feature which is unique to Messenger and can make text messages fun. It has added palette icon by the shutter which will takes us to a blank canvas where we can add art and stickers to our text.
Facebook said that it is making it easier to add more delight to the conversations, while keeping the old features intact. The new update has been rolled out iOS and Android users globally.
