KARACHI: A foiled terror attack on the Chinese consulate in Karachi on Friday morning left at least two policemen dead.
After learning about the attack, Federal Minister for Water Resources Faisal Vawda arrived at the spot of the attack on the Chinese Consulate. He was wearing a bullet-resistant vest and had a gun in hand.
His act, however, didn’t go down well with the Twitteratti, creating quite a buzz on the social networking site.

Vawda in a tweet defended his presence at the site, saying, “I was informed as I was in the vicinity & I further informed the concerned agencies. As a Pakistani I didn’t shy away, it’s my right to use my licensed weapon for self defence. At least I’m not a coward like many hiding behind keyboards and bullshitting.”
Here are a few reactions to Faisal Vawda’s “heroics”.
