Akbar, aged 35, was disheartened after his wife had recently left him and returned to her parents house after a personal dispute. This infuriated him after which he got involved into a verbal spat with his mother.
Later, he opened fire on her and killed his 55-year-old mother Rafiqa Bibi, and 25-year-old younger brother Abdul Salam. He fled the scene afterwards.
