From her much-talked about famous lip-job-linked social media bashing to making her feel hugely liable for the Indian cricket team’s losses on the grounds, social media trolls have always been rude to Ms Sharma.
However, the Sultan heroine feels super sorry for the people responsible for such trolling.
“I just feel sorry for them. Initially, when it started, I thought what is going on and I might have felt bad then. Today, I feel sorry for them. I also responded today to Karan Johar’s blog on trolls saying that ignorance is bliss but being aware of what people are saying about you and being unaffected is brave. And like what Karan said in his last line, ‘I am just nicer than you’, I believe that is how it is. You just have to be the bigger person,” said Ms Sharma while giving her remarks to an Indian website on undue trolling against her.
Ms Sharma also broke her silence on specific trolling that unduly drags her name into Indian cricket team’s defeats.
“I have been trolled for other reasons as well. I don’t have a reaction to it. I am not going to react to a bunch of cowards sitting in front of their computers screens who are insecure and have sh*t idea of themselves. They think so lowly of themselves that they feel ki kisi aur ko neeche girayenge toh unki aukaad badegi [if you humiliate some, you will be respected more]. Aise logon ke upar kya react karu [How do I react to such people],” said the candidly blunt Ms Sharma.
Ms Sharma has faced trolling after trolling on almost every social media website, Twitter taking an easy lead.
And she has taken them all very seriously although she claims to adopt a more delicate ‘ignorance is bliss’ attitude in public.
Remember when Indian cricketer Virat Kohli himself had to come at the front position on Twitter and defend her rumoured girlfriend.
