KARACHI: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Friday launched an investigation against its two officers and front men on suspicion of taking bribe, ARY News reported.
The probe agency sources said the FIA had begun operation against black sheep in their department and soon the truth will surface.
They said a deputy director and an assistant director were suspected of taking bribe from an industrialist. Strict action would be taken if their crime was proved following investigation, they added.
The FIA officers are suspected of taking Rs24 million bribe.

In August 2018, an FIA official conducting investigation in Rs35 billion fake accounts case was offered hefty bribe to stop pursuing money laundering investigation.
According to details, a grade-17 FIA officer was offered two 2000 square feet bungalows and a high-paying job to back off from pursuing the case honestly. The officer had reportedly declined the offer.
In September 2016, an FIA officer Dr Mazhar-ul-Haq Kakakhel had filed a case against five FIA officials involved in human trafficking and issued order to arrest them.
According to details, during an investigation it was revealed that the FIA officials were taking bribe to send passengers abroad. They had sent three passengers to Libya on fake documents.
