KARACHI: Despite government claims of eliminating terrorism to a great extent, the city witnessed another terror incident in which at least three people injured on Monday morning when unknown armed miscreants opened fire at a passenger bus near Eidgah ground of Nazimabad area here, ARY News reported.
The injured were identified as Mehtab, Umair, and Gul Hano.
All the injured were rushed to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medical treatment. The victims were said to be out of danger.
Moreover, police and the victims are giving different versions of the incident. The police sources declared the incident as result of a minor explosion.
Contrary to police claims, victims were of the opinion that it was firing incident. However, they were not certain whether the firing took place from inside bus or it happened from the outside.
It was the second terror-related incident in the city witnessed in 24 hours span of time.
Last night, a clash between two armed groups in Golimar area claimed at least one life by injuring three people.
The deceased was identified as Waseem.
It is pertinent to mention here that Karachi has remained a dangerous place awash with guns and an operation in the city headed by the paramilitary Rangers was launched back in September 2013 to restore law and order in the metropolis.
