Five killed in D.I. Khan coach, truck collision

DERA ISMAIL KHAN: A road mishap in Dera Ismail Khan on Wednesday claimed the lives of five people and injured seven others, ARY News reported.

According to details, a passenger coach – reaching Dera Ismail Khan from Peshawar – rammed into a truck near York Police Station.

Five people lost their lives while seven others sustained severe injuries in the road crash.

Rescue teams reached the scene and shifted the victims to District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ) D.I. Khan for treatment.

It is being said that the incident took place due to over speeding.

Road accidents, primarily caused by poor roads, badly maintained vehicles and reckless driving, leave thousands dead and injured every year in Pakistan.
