Five members of a family gunned down in Gujrat

A man and a woman along with their three children died in what local police officials described as a case of personal enmity during their initial phase of the investigation.

However, officials added while insisting that it was too early to speculate about the accurate reason behind the killings as they were still investigation various aspects of the case.

According to details, the incident occurred in the Punjab’s village of Moin-ud-din where armed men stormed a house and opened random fire at the victims.

Police arrived at the incident site, cordoned off the area and initiated further investigation into the matter.

Children aged between 12 to 17 years were among the victims, said police officials.

Meanwhile, in Lodhran, a clash broke out between two groups near police emergency centre because of which at least three people were wounded.

Details revealed that the groups clashed after their vehicles collided as a result of a minor accident.

Fortunately, police officials later sorted out their dispute.
