Rangers’ spokesperson said that the operations were carried out in different parts of Karachi including Lyari, Liaquatabad, Shah Faisal Colony and Sohrab Goth in which five suspected terrorists were taken into custody.
He also said that members of outlawed groups and Lyari gangsters were amongst those arrested.
Large number of weapons was also recovered during the crackdowns.
Sources stated that the arrested persons are involved in different criminal offences including terrorist activities and drug dealing.
They have been shifted to an unknown location for investigation.
