Football World Cup: Nigeria’s kit sold out minutes after release

The Football World Cup is around the corner and international teams have already released their official World cup kits.

The kits are produced for the fans worldwide so they can represent their favorite teams.

One team in question is doing everything right. Team Nigeria’s World Cup kit was sold out in a matter of minutes!

The futuristic-looking green and white kit Designed by Nike pays “subtle homage to Nigeria’s ’94 shirt, with its eagle wing-inspired black-and-white sleeve and green torso,” the kit makers said.

Alex Iwobi of Arsenal’s is amongst the players who modeled the kit, along with Leicester’s Wilfried Ndidi, who wore a branded bucket hat and jacket for the promotional photos.

The away kit bearing a solid dark green – a “long-standing symbol of the nation” that according to Nike can boast of having “the world’s most expressive team” is also sold out, along with the training kit, which has a similar design to the home kit, two different types of training jackets and floral joggers.

Some of the merchandise is embossed with the word “Naija” which is an affectionate nickname for the team in Nigerian.

The kit will make its on-pitch debut on Saturday, in a warm-up match against England at Wembley.
