Forces gun down five terrorists in Balochistan’s Pishin

PISHIN: Security forces gunned down five terrorists during a search operation in Pishin district of Balochistan, ARY News reported on Monday.

According to security sources, the forces carried a search operation at Kalli Haramzai area of Pishin. An exchange of fire took place between the forces personnel and terrorists, in which five suspected terrorists were killed whereas two security men also sustained bullet injuries.

The security forces called for reinforcements during the search operation. The law enforcement personnel recovered weapons from the slain terrorists.

It should be noted that the government forces of Pakistan are tackling militants and separatists with an agenda to destabilize the strategic province. Balochistan has been hit with a series of major terrorist attacks this year which have claimed several dozens of lives.

In August, at least 72 people were killed in a suicide blast which took place at Quetta’s Civil Hospital. The incident took place after large number of lawyers had gathered at the medical facility after the killing of a senior member of the Bar.

In another attack a police training institute was targeted near Quetta, the capital of the province. Most recently, in a terrorist attack at the shrine of Sufi saint Shah Noorani in Khuzdar district of Balochistan at least 50 devotees were killed.

Terrorist outfit Islamic State (IS) had claimed responsibility of the all three terror attacks in the province.
