Hub: Forces kill three terrorists behind attacks on labourers, President’s son

A spokesman of Frontier Corps (FC) said that the security personnel were carrying out an operation in Hub when the gunmen affiliated with Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) opened fire on them.

“An exchange of fire took place in which BLA Commander Raziq Marri and his two accomplices were shot dead,” FC spokesperson.

The slain terrorists were involved in an attack on the convoy of President Mamnoon Hussain’s son Salman Mamnoon in 2015, which left three people dead. The terrorists are also said to be behind the killings of nine labourers this year.

The security agencies recovered weapons from the terrorists and further investigation has been underway, spokesman added.

Natural resources rich Baluchistan province of Pakistan has been melting pot of the militants of various hues including separatists and sectarian outfits. Security forces are fighting to ensure law and order in the strategically important region.

Hundreds of terrorists and hardcore criminals of banned organizations have been killed in clashes with the forces. Scores of security men have also lost their lives while battling the anti-state elements in the region.
