Former KTC in-charge Hammad Siddiqui arrested from Abu Dhabi: sources

UAE authorities on Wednesday arrested two men in connection with Imran Farooq murder and money laundering cases. However, the reports of Hammad Siddiqui’s arrest are doing the rounds in Dubai’s political quarters.

ARY News Islamabad bureau chief, Sabir Shakir told that the Government of Pakistan had requested for UAE’s assistance regarding the arrest of Siddiqui, following which the reports of his arrest poured in on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, political quarters in Dubai have also confirmed the name of the arrested man as Hammad Siddiqui.

Hammad Siddiqui had been working as the in-charge of the Karachi Tanzeemi Committee (KTC) of MQM, however his party membership was suspended in 2013 for violating discipline, following which Siddiqui moved to UAE.

The prime suspect in Imran Farooq murder case, Moazzam Ali had told the investigation team that he had arranged London visas for two alleged hitmen in Imran Farooq murder case – Mohsin and Kashif – upon directives by Hammad Siddiqui.
