Four killed, three injured in separate firing incidents

MIANWALI/MARDAN: At least four people were killed while three others sustained injuries in separate incidents of firing in Mianwali and Mardan on Friday.

As per details, unknown assailants gunned down two people in the jurisdiction of Kundian, Mianwali and three others sustained bullet wounds.

The injured were moved to a nearby medical facility for treatment. The cause behind the incident could not be ascertained, said local police.

On the other hand, property dispute in Mardan claimed two lives and injured one today.

The incident took place in the limits of PS Jabbar, Mardan here today, over dispute of land ownership, resulting in death of two on the spot and injuries to another.

“Investigation into the matter was underway, culprits will be arrested soon,” said the Jabbar police station personnel.

In another incident of multiple killings, back in the month of November, at least three persons were gunned down on Monday over property dispute in Nothia area of Peshawar.

Firing between the two groups took place over ongoing property dispute resulting in death of three on the spot in Nothia locality of Peshawar, said the rescue service.

The bodies were moved to a nearby hospital for autopsy, while raids for the arrest of the assailants were underway, police said.
