MARDAN: Four people, children among them, were killed and three others injured when roofs of their houses caved in due to heavy downpour in different parts of Mardan on Monday night.
According to rescue sources, the deceased and injured were shifted to Mardan Medical Complex for treatment.
A woman and her two children died when the roof of their house collapsed in Faqeer Bantar area of the city, burying them under the debris. A 12-year old girl also got injured in the incident.
In a similar incident, a child was killed while another injured when the roof of their house near Charsadda road caved in.
The identities of the deceased and injured could not be ascertained forthwith.
