A vehicle of the security forces while patrolling in Bashak area of the Lower Orakzai Agency ran over a landmine planted on the roadside which exploded with loud blast.
Four persons were killed in the incident, while two others were injured. The injured immediately transferred to the Combined Military Hospital for medical attendance.
According to security sources, the bomb was planted to target the security forces.
Security agencies cordoned off the area after the blast and launched a search operation to arrest the culprits.
