To say that Arfa Karim was a talented girl would be an understatement. The youngest I.T engineer ever, she ensured Pakistan’s name shone from a very young age. As the youngest Microsoft professional, poetess and teacher Arfa Karim passed away today on 14th January 2012.

Arfa Karim Randhava made Pakistan proud by becoming the youngest I.T engineer in the world, at the age of just 9 years old. In 2005, Microsoft’s founder and billionaire Bill Gates met Arfa and gave her the Microsoft Certified Application certification. During her short life, Arfa notched a Pride of Performance award, Salam Pakistan Youth Award and Madre Millat Gold medal.

A Karachi cafe paid tribute to the late girl by holding a vigil for her:-

Arfa’s life may have been cut short by cardiac arrest, but she left her footprints in not only Pakistan but the entire world. The genius that she was, Arfa continues to dominate hearts and inspire millions around the world, even four years after her demise.
