PARIS: Defending champion Rafael Nadal continued his domination on the clay court as he qualified for the quarter final of the French Open whereas Andy Murray and David Ferrer also recorded won their respective matches to qualify for the last eight stage of the grand slam, ARY News reports.
Spaniard Rafael Nadal defeated Serbia’s Dusan Lajovic of 6-1, 6-2 and 6-1 to enter the quarter finals of the grand slam.
David Ferrer of Spain defeated Kevin Anderson of South Africa to qualify for the quarter finals of the French Open. Ferrer dropped a set but won the match 6-3, 6-3, 6-7 and 6-1.
Ferrer will play compatriot Nadal in the quarter finals stage.
British World No. 1 Andy Murray also made his way to the quarter finals after a straight set win over Fernando Verdasco of Spain. The Briton won the match 6-4, 7-5 and 7-6.
