PTI’s Gandapur surrenders before police after consulting with party members

Ali Amin Gandapur said that he decided to surrender after consultation with party members.

Duty DPO confirmed the arrest of Gandapur saying that it took time because of the presence of charged workers and supporters outside the residence of KP Finance Minister.

He added that a case has also been registered against Ali Amin Gandapur.

Earlier in the evening, police surrounded the residence of Gandapur, but the minister strongly opposed to surrender himself.

A large number of supporters had also gathered outside his residence who were chanting ‘Go Khattak Go’.

“I have right to bail, why should I surrender,” Gandapur said earlier, warning that “If police tried to break into my house and forcibly arrest me, then the workers may also get enraged”.

Earlier today, an FIR was lodged against Gandapur in DI Khan for forcibly taking away ballot boxes from a polling station, during local bodies’ elections in the province.
