KARACHI: The law enforcement agencies have stepped up targeted operations in Karachi resulting in death of a gang member in Lyari, while another captured in Orangi Town, ARY News reported on Tuesday.
Paramilitary Rangers and Police on a secret report conducted raid in Kalri area in Lyari. In a shootout a gang member Saeed Commando was killed and arms and stolen goods were captured from his possession.
In another incident of firing police arrested an accused from Orangi Town in injured condition along with weapons.
The accused Bahadur was said to be linked with Lyari gangs.
Moreover, Rangers have arrested scores of suspects in a targeted operation in Kuwari Colony and Mianwali Colony of Manghopir.
A dead body with hands and feet tied with rope found in Lea Market area of Lyari.
In a firing incident in New Karachi a man was seriously injured, police said.
