According to Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC), the supply was affected due to a fire which erupted at Sui Purification Plant after a rocket attack by Baloch Republican Army, a separatist group, two days ago.
The citizens of Quetta are facing problems due to the gas shortage and have to resort fuel and other ways to fight the severe cold.
The CNG stations also remained closed for the second day due to the gas shortage.
It should be noted that the arrival of winters also brings gas scarcity problem in the country as well. The gas cylinder explosions, leakages or shortage of supply becomes a “normal routine” in the chilly season.
