Geo News wrongly targeted a key institution, says Khursheed Shah

SUKKUR: Opposition Leader in the National Assembly (NA), Khursheed Shah has said that up to whatever extent the attack on Hamid Mir is condemned, it will still be less, but on the other hand Geo News targeted a key institution of the country without any evidence, which is also a wrong act – ARY News reports.

Talking to media here on Saturday, Khursheed Shah said that even if a person is involved in this attack, the institution should not be punished due to him.

Speaking about abandoning of power supply to some feeders in Sindh, he said that the Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif will directly be consulted on this issue, rather than Abid Sher

Ali. Shah said that disconnecting electricity this way, will create chaos amongst the people and inquired that why not metro bus service is being rolled back, when it is giving a loss of millions of rupees daily.

Responding to question, the Opposition Leader said that whether Pervez Musharraf is in Karachi, but it is not the job of the Sindh Government either to release an accused or to punish him, who is being held by the Federation.

Speaking about PPP-MQM marriage of convenience, Khursheed Shah said that the MQM Chief, Altaf Hussain had denied his statements, after which MQM was inducted in the Sindh Government.
