ISLAMABAD: The government of Pakistan on Thursday has presented the gas load shedding plan for winters, in accordance to offer gas to all the users including household and commercial.
The plan is offered prior to winters, as gas load shedding is very common in various parts of Pakistan, making life miserable for number of people.
According to details, this plan recommends to supply gas to al the consumers in winters by also supplying Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) as an alternative of Sui gas.
The details also discovered that Finance Ministry will compensate financial support to Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL), in order to eradicate the disparity between prices of local gas and LNG.
Furthermore, this management plan will be put into operation from December 18, 2018 to February 19, 2019. In the duration of this time span the entire production will be 1050 mmcf per day, however the deficit will linger to almost 339 mmcf per day.
It is also observed that the residents of the residential colony of Lady Reading Hospital Peshawar staged protest related to severe gas load shedding and had blocked the hospital road. Also, the workers had stipulated to reinstate the gas supply and declared to maintain the protest till their appeals are accepted.
