Govt kicks off passport home delivery service in twin cities

Speaking at a press conference here, the minister told the authorities are working on online visa policy, whereas the passport home-delivery service will be extended countrywide in four months.

He said a few months ago an online service was started for obtaining computerized national identity cards (CNICs), of which positive results have been observed; adding now the registration of families will also be carried out through internet.

Nisar also wished to have an online system for the issuance of Pakistani visa and passport worldwide.

Taking exception to Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) on the occasion, he said what the PTI wished Nadra to do, was actually the job of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
