The government also informed concerned airport authorities of the decision, following which the former president is likely to fly to Dubai in next 24 hours.
Holding a presser in Islamabad, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said the government is in no confusion and it allowed Pervez Musharraf to travel out of country in the light of Supreme Court’s verdict.
He said that the former president has promised to return to country to face cases against him, once his treatment completes.
Taking exception to Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), the minister slammed ‘the ones presenting Musharraf with guard of honor are now doing politics of tickers’.
Yesterday, the apex court while upholding the Sindh High Court’s verdict of putting Musharraf off the ECL had left the matter on the government.
