ISLAMABAD: Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Sardar Muhammad Yousuf on Thursday said the government is taking necessary measures to ensure interfaith harmony and peaceful coexistence among all communities.
The minister addressing the National Conference on Interfaith Harmony said everyone has a duty to practice their own religion instead of nurturing baseless schemas about others.
He said the government is ensuring the implementation of blasphemy law properly so that it may not be misused to malice any particular individual or community.
The conference also passed a resolution emphasising the need for encouraging interfaith dialogue at all levels to eradicate misunderstandings and promoting tolerance.
The participants stressed that the causes of terrorism should be identified instead of linking it with any particular religion.
